RE: How are flies getting in my travel trailer?

I really don't know! I've spent the last two hours swatting flies!

How are flies getting in my travel trailer?

Since I have started cooking for dinner I have had at least 30 flies in here. I have been swatting them like crazy and still I see more. I'm alone here so I know it isn't from the door being opened. The windows are closed and I've covered the drain in the shower and sink. Help! Could it be the AC vents? I'm desperate!

RE: Where does your baby sleep in your RV?

One more suggestion. If you want to save floor space, make your dinette into the bed, then place the pack and play on the surface. Helps if space is limited.
I was going to say this too. Just stash the cushions somewhere and set the pack and play on the firm surface.

RE: Keep on blowing fuses

Quick update: the problem was a coroded bulb! I took all the bulbs out and put them in one at a time and the bulb with the icky stuff around the bottom was the one that was doing it. Now all the lights work again! Thank you to everyone for your help/suggestions. :)

RE: Small TT that you can put a washer/dryer?

The thing is that we are full-timing. This is home. I want to be able to do laundry without having to haul it out to a laundry mat. The one closest to me the dryers don't even get warm and it's 25 cents for 5 minutes! I'd rather do it at home even if it takes longer.

How do you know how much pin weight a truck can handle?

RE: Small TT that you can put a washer/dryer?

Hi: I have never seen or heard of W&D in a small TT. It might be possible in a smaller 5th wheel, however. Bill
Would a 1500 be able to pull a small fiver?

RE: Confession Time --- Stupid RV Things We've Done...

Packing up to return home can get hectic. I stashed my cup of coffee in the microwave so it was out of the way while we were going back and forth. Totally forgot about it. When we got home the microwave, range hood, range, cabinets and floor were covered in coffee!

Small TT that you can put a washer/dryer?

I have a 25' TT and want to either install a washer/dryer or trade it in for one that can hold a washer/dryer. I don't need a very large RV but the laundry mat is a rip off! The dryers don't even get warm. Grr. Anyone know a small TT that has room for a washer/dryer? TIA!

RE: Microsoft worried because Vista isn't being pirated.

I wish Vista had been an option, not the only thing on my new laptop. It is terribly hard to navigate for a beginner.

RE: Upgrade RV Matress?

I use a Memory Foam mattress from Walmart. Sure beats the springy mattress that came with the TT.

RE: Anyone else hear that giant sucking sound?

But boy was I shocked when I did our taxes and we got our normal refund when Uncle Sam said good for you but you are also "NOW" required to pay "Estimated Taxes" for CY 08 in addition to your "fair share" and here is your forms and we expect you to pay this at least FOUR times between now and the 15 of Jan 09 or we will impose "PENALTIES if you don't.
My tax software gave that as an option. I said no, I didn't want to pay estimated taxes. I don't think it was a requirement.

RE: Sign of the times!

I've never had that problem - yet. Anybody would be disappointed if they tried to siphon mine, it's usually less than 1/4 tank and near E. LOL.

This is the first year I had to pay! I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. I'm poor anyway!

RE: Any fulltimers travel with fish?

How about one of the 5 gallon bottles you use for drinking water? Put the fish in with water and a cork in the top. You could add an aerator into the cork if needed. No spillage...and the fish moves up the social ladder with a larger tank.
Sounds like a good idea for travel, to keep the water inside from splashing out. My one reservation is how to put the fish in there and then how to get him out, lol.

Recalled Folding Picnic Tables Due to Collapsing Hazard

link
http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml06/06233.jpg
I had one of these and sold it at a yard sale because I didn't trust it. There are similar ones out there like this with slatted tops, etc, and different colors. It is a weak design. The legs of the seats are too close together and enables rocking back and forth. This can cause the whole thing to fall over because it is all attached as one piece.

Hey mtkbuckeye, that is a neat table, too. :) Maybe I can order one from Lowe's or Sam's.
